Hello,
First off.. sorry if this is the wrong forum/section.. I cannot find any other fourms on the net.. (if its wrong please point me in the right direction).
I am running SLED 10 with KDE for the desktop.
I'm trying to get XGL running under KDE, but i've run into a few problems.
Mainly I cannot get XGL to start correctly with xdm.. To get xgl running i
have to do the following..
1. Start Laptop
2. When it gets to the login prompt hit alt+f2, login as root.
3. rcxdm stop
4. Xgl :0 -fullscreen -ac -accel xv -accel glx:pbuffer & DISPLAY=:0 startkde
This will start the xgl server and load up startkde (KDE). This works fine.
when i try run the gnome-xgl-switch --enable-xgl it seems to edit the
nesscary config files in /etc/sysconfig/displaymanagers but when the laptop
tries to loadup the login prompt it runs VERY VERY SLOW.. (I cannot even
login its running that slow, its basically frozen).
I cannot figure out why.. As i can start it manually it appears there is
something with the say xdm/kdm is starting xgl..
Anyone got any ideas??
