One of the most annoying things in KDE (apart from the irrational screensaver) is that it is so easy to select things in menus by mistake....

The main problem is that when I right click, for example on a file, or on the desktop background (i.e. I want to see the menu), I sometimes happen to move the mouse a few mm before releasing the right mouse button (which I do almost instantly). This has the effect of not showing the menu, but starting whatever program, or menu item, that happened to be located wherever my mouse happened to move to...

This happens if the mouse has moved in the few micro seconds between click and release of the right mouse button.

I don't know why this should even be possible, as the normal thing is to right click to get the menu, then scroll to find the menu item you want, and then left click to choose it.

Is it possible to fix this by adding a delay, so that it won't select things in menus the first half-second, or so?

Of course, it does work if you're used to holding the mouse button while scrolling in the menu, and only release it when you've found what you want in the menu.
