i have two separate X screens, one is a crt and the second is tv-out. the problem that i have is that sporadically, when i switch virtual desktops, the focus would leave my primary screen (the crt) and go to the tv-out screen. i haven't been able to find any pattern, it appears that the switches are random, it happens perhaps one of every 5-10 desktop switches. also, when i play video with mplayer, on the crt screen, when mplayer terminates (either due to the end of the video, or if i quit it manually) the focus would jump to the tv-out screen almost every time. this behavior did not occur with XFCE, which i used before i switched to kde, so i'm pretty sure it is kde-related (kwin?). it is extremely annoying, as i usually switch virtual desktops with the keyboard, but when the crt loses focus, i have to reach for the mouse and click somewhere on the crt screen in order to bring back focus to it. the mouse still remains in the crt screen when the focus is lost, it is not moved to the tv-out screen. i tried asking google about this and searching this forum, but either there is nothing about such a problem, or i have trouble defining it concisely enough to get search results.
can anybody give me some pointers?
