Can Konqueror open MSO files?

Can Konqueror open MSO files?

I don't have much experience with KDE so please bare with me. I have read that Konqueror uses KParts to allow it to open KOffice files inside the browser itself. Does this mean I can click a link to a word document and it will open right in the browser?

I'd also like to know more about programming in KParts, so if anyone knows of books/tutorials I can use I would really appreciate it.

Go to the file associations in kcontrol and check the embedded options for koffice-files.
Use that information to change the settings voor MS Office-files.

In the past there was a plugin available that could use openoffice to watch documents inline in Konqueror.
Dunno if that is still available.

Yeah I heard of cukOOo, but what's the point in using open office if you can use KOffice?

openoffice is more capable in opening MS Office documents.

If you don't experience problems opening MS Office documents with koffice, then there is indeed no point in using openoffice for that.
But if you find that koffice does not render documents properly, you can try openoffice in stead.

Also, abiword can be embedded in konqueror, which is like kword a light weight text processing application.
