Sluggish eclipse in KDE 3.5

Hi guys,

I'm using KDE3.5 in FC5 linux.
I find my eclipse3.2 kinda sluggish.
Any suggestion on how i can improve that?

Linux 2.6.18-1.2257.fc5 #1 Fri Dec 15 16:06:24 EST 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
IBM ThinkPad R52
~~Centrino 1.6GHz
RAM 512MB
HDD 40 GB (Windows consumed 20GB).

if you run eclipse outside of kde (e.g in twm or so), how does it perform?
