[Kopete] New user, just got a few queries

Hey all, just started using Kopete tonight. I'm surprised I didn't find it sooner - it sounds exactly what I'm looking for. I have got a few things though.

1) I've got a wee bug(?) where the formatting toolbar keeps appearing if I look at an IRC /query window then any other IRC channel window. I remove the formatting toolbar by default because I want as much viewing space as possible, so it's annoying if it pops up. If I look at an msn window (for example) then back to the IRC channel window, the toolbar is gone. I'm using tabs in one window for everything (a bad habit gaim taught me). Is this a known bug? I can't find anything on the forum about it. If it's not I'll post a bug thread.

2) The documentation (yes, I did RTFM before posting here :-D) says that the text on the tabs on windows changes colours depending on whether a message has come in (red) or has come in with your nick in it (blue) (exactly like gaim). Except, it doesn't actually do that. Do I need to turn it on specifically? I've been through all the options I can find.

3) With the gaim style option, the text in the chat window is huge. Whenever I drop it down from the settings though, it also shrinks the size of the text in the input box. Is there a way to de-couple the two sizes?

4) Again with the gaim style (or if anyone can recommend another line-by-line style - I really dislike the whole grouping thing) is it possible to have "*Kasyx does an action" instead of "Kasyx: does an action"? Proper IRC /me'ing.

5) With IRC, I need to send my password to NickServ when I log on. I've done this by adding a 'Command on Connect' rule for the server (see, proof I did RTFM :-D) but all I see is what I send to the server in the window that pops up. The command works, but I'd rather either see the response from the server, or no window at all. Is there anyway to do that?

6) More with IRC *grin* is there anyway to log what the server messages are, even if the window isn't open? If I right click on the connection and 'view server window' it just shows me an empty window. I like to see what the server says, but when I want to, not spammed with windows when I first log on (one of the main reasons I switch from gaim, seeing as I connect to 2 or 3 servers, each with the server window, the nickserv window, other assorted nonsense all at once.)

That's it for just now, but there will probably be more :-D

(I know these are relatively small queries - I tried to connect to #kde@irc.freenode.net but there seems to be something weird where it isn't connecting - there is another thread on that though.

Thanks in advance!

For number 5, the answer from the NickServ is not displayed in the NickServ tab (where you see what you send to it) but in the 'status' tab, the one named "<nick>@<server>", where all system messages go.

You can change some of this behaviour in the IRC protocol 'Advanced Configuration' tab. See all those drop down boxes in 'Message Destination' section :D.
