[Kopete] MSN adding myself

Hi.

I'm running Kopete 3.5.4 on a 64bit Gentoo system.
I like to have myself on my contact list for various reasons, including making sure my Now Playing plugin is working, etc etc.

With kopete and kopete only, if I add myself, it says contact is offline.

How can I get it to show up as online?

This works fine on MSN (windows), GAIM (linux) and aMSN (linux).
