Hi!
I have two problems and I'll post them both here, 'cos they might be related
1. I can't switch between layouts using the keyboard and xkb. Ctrl+Alt+K (as set as default in KDE) does what it is for, but when I want to switch using Ctrl+Sfift (as I set in "xkb options") nothing happens, just nothing. Also any other combination in the xkb list doesn't work. If I click the icon in the system tray, the group changes, btw. But I want to switch using Ctrl+Shift, as I am used to!
2. I have Logitech iTouch Internet Navigator keyboard and I was lucky when I found that such model exists in the list of supported keyboards. Under KDE 3.5.4 there are 5 models, that look like this one, and I tried all of them, but none works correctly. I have about 20 extra multimedia buttons and only under one or two models of the list, the "mute" and "volume: down" buttons work, nothing else of the multimedia buttons (isn't it strange that "volume: up" doesn't work?) I don't expect them all to work, as they do under Windows, 'cos I don't have a special driver for Linux, but I want to see at least the "Stop" and "Pause/Play" buttons working, epsecially when my keyboard exists in that list.
I have to add something here: when I was searching through the forum for related themes, I found a thread about a guy that also has a problem with kbd layouts, and he said, it is because of the video driver he istalled. I've installed the same driver: ATI's fglrx, 'cus I have Radeon 9550. But I installed it exactly after installing the Kubuntu, and I don't know whether my keyboard worked correctly without this *video* driver. I had a lot of trouble with my monitor and I don't want to reinstall this driver if it isn't very necessary.
Please, tell me something about it, if you know!
