[kopete] Buddy icon format

Hi all,

there is one thing I don't understand in Kopete 0.12. Why Kopete is using square format of user photo while e.g. ICQ is using rectangular? Why not to be compatible? And this format leads to a deformation of buddy icons I am receiving for my contacts and displaying in chat window as those rectangular photos are displayed as square photos expected by Kopete.

Is it a bug or feature?
