Hal / Dbus Support KDE 3.5.3

Greetings

I have tried to get help from Suse forums but it seems my problem is not so common. I'll try here.

I recently upgraded my SUSE 9.3 (i386) KDE form version 3.4.1 (I had done a previous upgrade without problem) to ver. 3.5.3. Now I have lost HAL support in KDE.
I upgraded using smart (suse repositories).

These packages are installed on my system:

hal-0.4.7-26
dbus-1-qt-0.23.4-7
dbus-1-0.23.4-7.3

According to KDE's control center, HAL is not supported on my system; however, according to KDE.org, the versions of HAL and DBUS I have, meet the requirements to use that feature.

Any idea will be welcome
