"storage media" doesn't show all media

Hi,
I have a problem with the "storage media" listing (system:/media) in konqueror not showing all my partitions in my hard drive.

I have 3 partitions, an ntfs at hda1, an ext3 at hda2, and vfat at hda3. Currently, only the first two (hda1 and hda2) are shown in the storage media listing. Typing "media:/hda3" doesn't work. Also, opening "sysinfo:/" in konqueror only shows the first two partitions as well.

I've seen the missing partition shown in these places during the first few boots after a new installation, but it seems to have suddenly disappeared. It happens to be after I booted into windows, but I don't know if that's the cause.

I've checked my fstab and mtab and hda3 is in the list to be mounted. And it is actually mounted as well, as i've set it to mount at /windows/d and accessing /windows/d works fine. I think two different mechanisms are used for mounting to /windows/d and media:/hda3.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance :)

I am far from expert in these matters, I consider myself a noob, but sometimes a little help from a friend goes far. So, check your fstab make sure you have the proper settings for your partition. I believe Konqueror just uses what's on the system.
Also what GNU/Linux are you using? And can you post your fstab. You may also want to check the forum site for your particular OS. [KDE]

Hi Silvagroup, thanks for the reply :)

I've checked the fstab, everything seems to look fine as far as i can tell, though i'm not too sure what to look for. I know that the problematic partition is definitely showing up in fstab, and mtab (though i dunno what mtab is for :D).
I'm on suse 10.1, i've posted a question on the forums there now.
One thing i noticed though, is that i did stuff up my linux installation enough to require a fresh install. But after the install, the partition is still not showing up. So I'm thinking it might not be an fstab problem, maybe windows really shouldn't be co-existing with linux!
I'm at work so i can't post the fstab right now (it's a home machine). I think i might try reformatting the drive or move some stuff of it coz it did happen after i copied a whole bunch of stuff into that drive.
I'll post the result if it works just for interest's sake :)

Thanks again
