Other software? Well GAIM! Problem with spelling check

Well, I don't know if this doubt can be on this forum, but here it goes:

How the %"·&$ do I change the language GAIM uses to check spelling? I already installed aspell Spanish support, but it continues checking for English! I don't know where to change it and I've been looking at Gaim's documentation without success!

Any help will be appreciated... (yes, I know, may be this is a really silly question)

You should probably ask the gaim folks, since gaim will use the gtk or gnome spell checking support.
