printing too many copies

When I print a document in KPDF, I can set the number of copies that I want in the print dialog.
If I ask for 1 copy, 1 copy comes out.
But if I ask for 2 copies, 4 copies of the document come out of the printer.
If I ask for 5 copies, then 20+ copies come out.

Using OpenOffice.org, the printing of multiple copies works fine. So I think it is a problem with KPDF, and not CUPS.

Any idea how to fix this anyone?
