kde3.3.1 screensaver slideshow problem.

I am using kdeartwork-3.3.1-2 to run slideshow of my photos. It works for a while but then the screen goes blank after some time. Is this a problem with this version of screensaver? kslideshow.kss --version gives:
Qt: 3.3.3
KDE: 3.3.1-3.14 Red Hat
kslideshow.kss: 2.3.0
