[KOPETE] Wengo integration?
If you are not familiar with Wengo it is a opensource program that allows you to do VoIP chats like Skype or Gizmo. I was wondering if it would be possible for wengo to be integrated into Kopete later on since you guys are working on Jingle it shouldn't be too difficult to implement another VoIP standard. So is this feature feasible? I would like it to be included in Kopete so I don't have to have 2 IM clients running at the same time wasting more resources and being less convenient.
EDIT: I didn't realize how little traffic this forum got, I submited a bug report

thanks for submitting the bug report. Developers generally don't deal with feature requests from the forum

RE: [KOPETE] Wengo integration?
As you may have seen in the responses to your bug report, Wengo (along with most other known Skype competitors) uses the open and standardized SIP protocol with the (also open and standardized) SIMPLE presence/instant messaging extensions to SIP.
As a result, SIP support for Kopete is just a matter of time - If you do a search through the KDE bug database for SIP you'll find a few entries.

Yeah I was just reading about that in the bug report (just got back from vacation). I will be eagerly awaiting for this feature.
