Kopete 0.12 beta2
Mandriva 2006.0 x86_64
KDE 3.4.2
Yesterday my emoticons were working flawlessly. Today, I installed nearly 1GB of bugfixes and security fixes, and now my kopete emoticons don't work correctly. I first noticed when i attempted to send an emoticon to somebody and the window looked really odd.

So I decided to reinstall the emoticon theme. Upon doing so i was presented with an error dialog that read something like "A problem occurred during the intallation process. However, some of the emoticon themes may have been installed." And, in fact they do install, but all emoticon themes do this.
Immediately I figured it must have been some sort of library issue with lib64xml1, 2 or lib64xslt. I refreshed those packages with my backed up rpms, and nothing. I reinstalled the devel rpms for the above, deleted kopete config files, and recompiled kopete, which also didn't work. I looked for the error to see if i could figure out what was causing it, which is tough because im a java programmer and know little about c++. All i could gather was libkopete/kopeteglobal.cpp was generating the error, but i cant figure out why its not completing.
Does anybody here have any ideas on what to try next? The emoticons function they're just annoying the hell outta me.
Sorry for the long post, I was trying to be as specific as possible.
