KDE help!

A newbie here, I've never actually heard of KDE/CDE until Monday.......but I'm being tasked to configure KDE for my department. I thought I had everything down, but now I'm up against a wall. It concerns the KDE menu edit. The version I'm workign with is 3.1, I've been looking all over the internet for a tutorial.

I'm trying to set up some scripts and applications as menu options so that our operators can bring them up easily instead of having to manually bring them up. I have no problems with the applications, its with the scripts. I figure the key in maximizing my terminals is with the Terminal options: section, but I'm not sure how to use it. Can anyone direct me to a very good tutorial or point me to the right direction. Or better yet a very good book.

I am not sure I fully understood the problem.

You want to run a script in a maximized Konsole window?

kstart might help in this case
