Kate terminal window
Hello.
I recently did a dist-upgrade on my Debian Sid, for the first time in about six months. I now have KDE 3.5.1 - Kate 2.5.1 v. KDE 3.4.3 - Kate 2.4.1 previously.
The Kate 2.4.1 terminal (Konsole) window had a close box, an empty box and a box with a diagonal arrow (to undock the window?) in the upper right hand corner. My new version doesn't have these boxes.
I have read the help manual and googled the web but have not found anything referring to this feature.
Is this feature not availablle in Kate 2.5.1 or am I just too stupid to figure out how to enable it?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Norm
RE: Kate terminal window
Nope, these bars are gone and there's no way to configure this (as far as I could see). There are a few options when you rightclick such a button in the sidebar, but I wonder if that's sufficient for you.

Thanks for the info, Bram. It's really no big deal, but will take some getting used to.
I am teaching myself C++ and I use Kate as my editor. Sometimes I don't get the focus right and end up typing commands in my cpp file.
Again, thanks for the reply!

No, there is no way to get the old behavior back.
You can bind a shortcut to "Show Terminal" btw, it automatically toggles then and should have the focus set in the right way.

Muchas Gracias dh!
Thanks for the great tip. A keyboard shortcut works much better for me than moving the mouse.
