kicker taskbar

any idea how to make the applications in kicker's taskbar appear in one row
instead of two without making the panel small?
I added MinimumButtonHeight=30 to the top of ~/.kde/share/config/ktaskbarrc and restarted kicker but it won't read the value from that file.
Any idea anybody?
Could it be MinimumButtonHeight=30 did not work because it needs a [something] above it?

OS: KDE 3.5.2 on archlinux using kernel 2.6.16.4

RE: kicker taskbar

Right click on the taskbar and click on the Configure Panel.
Look for the TaskBar option on the left there is a of check boxes the last one is the one you want to check and it says Limit the number of rows in the taskbar too.

RE: kicker taskbar

First of all, I really appreciate the reply. I almost gave up on that.
But the problem is that I don't have the option you are talking about under:
'Configure - KDE Panel' > Taskbar

Nope, I don't have that option. and archlinux kde is just vanilla kde compiled with no patches.
