Hardcore theming

Hi guys,

I don't know if some of you have given Kubuntu a shot, but these guys have done a tremendous work tweaking/skinning/theming/hacking KDE and Konqueror

I don't know how they know how to do all that. I'd like to tweak my KDE too, but it seems difficult to find quality documentation that shows how to change things, size of tabs, background of selected items in menus, background bars, etc... Do you know where I can find out? How can I also add a Google search field next to the location bar in Konqueror?

Thanks for any help!
Charles.

RE: Hardcore theming

If you really want to change the mentioned properties you should dig into the source. But if you're not so brave hearted, you might find some cool stuff on www.kde-look.org .

You mean the source code of KDE itself?

That applies more for the size of the tabs. In the Control Center you can configure some colors in Appearance & Style. But some hardcore theming options really require you to change KDE's source.

I found out that installing the kdeaddons added a Google search field to Konqueror

Cool.
