Mic Problem on Intel ICH6
I have an IBM T43 thinkpad with built-in sound and video (Intel ICH6). The sound works perfectly. I can play xmms and video. The problem is I am unable to use my mic. On my KMix, line jack sense and headphone jack sense are both disabled but still nothing works.
Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated. c",?

RE: Mic Problem on Intel ICH6
The Mic channel is enabled (the green led and red led are active)? The volume of the Mic channel is high enough?

Yup, everything is turned on but still nothing. Volume is on full. Any other suggestions what the problem is?

You might want check your alsamixer. Sometimes things get disabled in it.
