Menu-items finder
Hello everybody.
I don't know if someone else had this idea.
What about adding a text edit in every kdeapp (like beside the 'help' item)
which could find a menu item and make a list of found items and maybe a short
description of them ?
It could be very easy and fast, especially in every application with a lot of menu items.
For example a search like "folder*" in kmail would create a list of paths like:
File > Expire all folders
File > Empty all trash folders
Go > Next undread folder
Folder > New Folder
Folder > Delete folder
Of course they're links to the corresponding functions.
And maybe the search could be extended
to the description of every menu item.
Thank you.

it would be nice to have inside the help window. The target of this future is newbies who seek for help to find some function, so I'd rather not bloat the UI by default.
RE: Menu-items finder
Maybe this one was a good idea.
Apple implemented the menu pointers in OSX Leopard, released in
October 2007.
Kde tutta la vita !

great idea
I could see it being quicker to select an opeation like this even when you know where to find it in the menu structure. The OSX pointers are nice but I think it would be possible to make something even nicer.
