Kdm switch user: no window borders

Hi all,

I have a really weird problem: when I try to log multiple users at the same
time into kde (or multiple sessions for the same user for that matter), all
sessions after the first show no window borders. Only one workspace shows
up too, most likely a related problem, I guess. I started having this problem
when I upgraded kde to 3.4 (worked fine before that, though some config file
editing was necessary to get it to work), but I didn't do anything about it then.
Now that I have upgraded to 3.5.1, the problem is still there. Any ideas on
what's causing this very annoying problem?
