[Kopete] < and > displayed incorrectly in MSN nicknames

My nickname on MSN is

However, when I am in a conversation (using the standard KDE 3.5.1 Kopete set-up), my name is displayed as

.

What can I do to sort this out, or is it a bug that needs reporting somewhere?

According to this page, this issue is fixed now in new Kopete versions.
