Printing faint Shell konsole screen print

Using Konsole 1.2.3 (Using KDE 3.1.3-6.2 Red Hat)
Screen prints appear very faint. I know it is not a printer issue as other jobs print fine. Should I change the fonts, if so how. Currently using cups on a network printer. Resolution 600DPI. Assumed all default settings. Some colored text appears, but black text is so washed out I could swear the imagistics cm3530 is out of ink or toner.
Print queue settings: Queue type - Networked UNIX (LPD) queue 9100; Printer Driver - PostScript Printer; Driver options - default - Convert Textt to Postscript.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
