Window Deco and old sounds

ive been using kde for about 3yrs now, about the same time i have been using linux, found it to be the better out of the greate kde vs gnome debate because of its look feel.. etc..

i have a couple of questions
i have downloaded a window decoration from kde-look.org and i have no idea how to install it or where to copy it, its in a tar.gz file and there is no ./configure file that some previous posts have refenced.. i looked in the kde handbook and googled it but with no luck.. can someone tell me how do i do it in n00b talk :-P

the other question is does kde have an arcive of previous versions, because i prefer the default sounds of kde 3.0-3.2 to the more latist ones again i had a look but with no joy i must be looking in the wrong places..
