Leaving mail on server until deleted from inbox.
I receive email using POP if it's a help.
I'd like to ditch Thunderbird and take up KMail. I need the option that I had in Thunderbird to leave messages on server until I manually delete them from my inbox. I can't find that option - where is it (although I've had a good look) or is there any other way to set this?
RE: Leaving mail on server until deleted from inbox.
Settings->configure Kmail->accounts->receiving accounts->modify setting has a check box to 'leave messages on server'.
But then there is no easy way to then remove the messages from the server when you have decided to do so.
You might try two separate receiving accounts..one set to leave messages on server and one which deletes from server.
RE: Leaving mail on server until deleted from inbox.
If I remember correctly, KMail 1.9 (included with KDE 3.5) has better support for leaving messages on the server. As in: remove them after x days for example. That would solve the issue then.
