installation error

while installing kopete 0.10.3 this error appeared and i couldnt countiue
here is the error
¨checking for KDE... configure: error:
in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix! ¨
anyone can provide help please

hi. i had the same problem -Debian 3.1 ,kde 3.3.2
try instal
x-dev
libx11-dev
libqt3-mt-dev
kdelibs4-dev and its dependencies
i installed many packages alltogether ang got ./configure finished
but....
make
i got many ,actually, allaround mistakes.so ,i still dont have newest kopete
but maybe you get lucky.
tell how it went
by the way-it shouldn't work for me :D Kopete's webpage tells us :
Kopete only works with KDE 3.4.0 or above!
