K-menu problems after upgrading to 3.4.3

Hi.

I run FreeBSD 5.4 and I just upgraded KDE from 3.4.2 to 3.4.3 by recompiling it.

Now I don't have any entries in K-menu's application menu or in any configuration menu (like taking Settings -> Configure Konqueror in Konqueror). If I try adding some applications in kappfinder, it doesn't do anything. Menu editor doesn't show anything either. Executing kcontrol says: "kcontrol: WARNING: No K menu group with X-KDE-BaseGroup=settings found ! Defaulting to Settings/".

I used XFCE for a while and tried gnome 2.12 too (which was a total mess, especially its' menus and editing them) so maybe it's related to it anyhow.

I've tried moving away ~/.kde, but this doesn't help. When I try KDE with some other user but me, everything is OK, so it seems that KDE takes its' menu entries from some other folder? I tried moving away .gnome and .gnome2, but it's no use of it :(

Another problem is with SSL. I have openssl-0.9.7i and openssl-0.9.8b installed. Every new port installed uses 0.9.8, but for an instance, konqueror's https doesn't work - it says protocol died unexpectedly. But it's a global issue for all users. Maybe upgrading FreeBSD to 6.0 and upgrading ports and stuff helps.

Could anybody suggest anything about the K-menu thing?

Thanks in advance,
Silver

Seems like the problematic file was ~/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu. I deleted it and K-Menu reappeared.

But HTTPS doesn't still work :(
