missing libraries

i'm trying to install netscape but its asking for libgtk-1.2.so.0. where can i download such libraries.

but If your distribution support it use packages manager -> YUM , APT-GET , URPMI, EMERGE , it's better way in Linux

no you can't... you must use .deb packages (from debian, but I don't now if yoy should use hoary, sid,...)

If you are using Kubuntu/Debian then why not use apt-get and synaptic to install it? I thing you will find repository adresses for synaptic in kubuntu forums.
