Feedback on general layout
I didn't know where to post feedback so here goes:
The main problem I have with KDE 3.3.2 in Mepis 3.3.1 is the flicker and refresh issues giving it a clunky feel. It is givng my eys allot of tracers and a mild headache especially when moving around a window ; )
I understand KDE is new so I can wait patiently but hope soon that y'all can get it very tight like Mac/Win. I can help too with programming.
The icons and pictures like in the OS Center could be a little better. Some don't seem to match the more clearer ones in Real Player, GIMP, Open office,Gaim which have a consistent feel. Like some of the warning messages such as the exclamation point and caution sign looking too closed in and squished. I had trouble with the chunky looking icons in the File viewer and KDE browser. The fat red heart maybe too much and maybe use the star for the boookmarks. I took a look at the KDE 4 pre-release pics and I liked the File Viewer buttons allot better being allot less glaring and clear/crisp looking. Another thing is things seem to react too slowly. As I wave my mouse over the firefox menu it is way to slow reacting and not like an instant reaction on Windows. Also going back and forth between windows seems wobbely.
The clipboard seems slow as in cutting and pasting sometimes and there are allot of major refresh problems in Adobe reader. I haven't seemed to have problems with OpenOffice at all although I still think it could be even quicker.
Open Office seems the best in all categories except it could even be quicker I think.
I changed to an MS theme but allot of my sidebars like in Firefox are still Mepis theme.
Thanks for putting up with me.

KDE is actually really good on Icons the more I look and really the only complaints are the themes but minor. I really like the look of the the kDevelop theme with proportional buttons but of course not green.
