KDE 3.4.1 on Sparc

Hi,

I'm running KDE 3.4.1 on a Sun UItra 10 with Solaris 2.8.

I'm trying to figure out why my screen resolution appears to be 16bit color. The background, kicker panel and any other graphics are very grainy. I've checked everywhere and can't seem to figure out how to resolve this. I know its not my monitor because CDE appears normal.

Also, when I 'mouse-over' the icons on the panel ( konqueror, home folder, etc ) all I see is the 4 corner outline of what should appear there. If I know how to get a ascreen shot, I would attach it.

Any help would be appreciated.
