mounting mp3player

Hi,
This is my problem: when I create on desktop icon .kdesktop to get to my muvo mp3player and I want to mount this device, it's not mounted with correct filesystem type. Insterad of using vfat it uses msdos options. It causes that all files names are not correct, there is only 8 characters in each name.
