Missing Screeensavers in 3.4 on Fedora Core 3

Missing Screeensavers in 3.4 on Fedora Core 3

I just upgradded to 3.4 with Fedora Core 3. Everything works great except when I go to configuration to select a screensaver, there are no screensavers listed. The selection block is blank.

When I login as root, the screensavers are there and work.

Also, there is no startup sound, but then again there was no startup sound prior to the upgrade. I know it sounds trivial, but the startup sound let me know when my 11 year old was firing up the system.

Any ideas.
