[KOPETE] Problem with opening browser windows

Hi,

Recently I uninstalled the browser that came with my distribution, and I installed the latest Firefox version instead. Now, Kopete can't open browser windows if I click on a link that somebody sends me in a chat window. Also, it can't go automatically to my hotmail account, as it used to do. I think that it still has the path to my last browser. I'd like to change it to the path of my new browser. How do I do that?

Very likely Kopete uses the browser set in KDE's control center or, if there isn't an override, the application associated with file type text/html

control center->KDE components->component chooser

file association
control center->KDE components->file associations
or right click a html file

I have a similar problem, kopete won't open links or hotmail, it tries to get thunderbird to do it instead. the difference is i'm on gnome, not kde. html files are associated with firefox, so I don't think this is the problem.
