kicker reappears during logout

kicker reappears during logout

When I logout, after the screen goes blank there is a several second delay and then kicker reappears! After a few more seconds with just kicker on the screen, Xorg finally quits.

Is it a bug? Is there anything I can do about it? It seems to be slowing down the logout process.

KDE 3.4.0
Xorg 6.8.2
kernel 2.6.11-gentoo-r6
