Hi,
I'm using SUSE 9.1 and installed today the latest RPMs of KDE 3.4 from SUSE ftp site (.../supplementary/KDE)
Now the earlier 3.4 RPMs didn't include this smooth scrolling feature, if that's how it's called. But I read that 3.4 should have it on by default, and now it seems that the latest RPMs now include that as well for SUSE 9.1
The problem here is that I personally hate this new feature. It makes konqueror scroll web pages "smoothly", but looks really bad to me, and what's worst, makes whole user experience very unpleasant. My eyes try to follow the smoothly scrolling lines and it basicly causes headache. This same behavior seems to take place with other windows as well, such as Kontact or other applications, although it's not that bad there, and I could stand it. But Konqueror is unusable to me now.
So is there a way to turn off this smooth scrolling thing? I just can't find any way to do that. And can't find any info anywhere either. I have no clue either in which configuration file this might be placed.
So can anyone help me with this?
If I'm unable to turn this off, then I'm forced to back to KDE 3.3 and really wouldn't like to do that, because 3.4 includes the improvements I really was looking for.
And if 4.0 will include this as well, and there's no way to turn it off, then I can't continue using KDE. Which is not preferable. There must be others as well who dislike this feature. So any help is really appreciated!
