K-Menu

Hello,

I would like to repeat a couple of K-Menu suggestions here which was originally posted in http://forum.kanotix.net/viewtopic.php?t=6500

<QUOTE>

iii. [KDE] A means to run any arbitrary K-Menu entry as root (or as any user) would be very nice. Like left-clicking would run it as usual, but right-clicking would run it through kdesu. Better, right-click would pop-up a small window where the user can select either running it under kdesu, or view its properties (e.g. the command to run it), etc.

iv. [KDE] A means to provide the user with a clue regarding what's happening in the background with a malfunctioning app that is being run from the K-Menu. Currently there is no feedback to the user, just the busy indicator shows for a while at the taskbar. In such cases I usually run the same app from konsole to see the messages. But a novice user usually doesn't know how to do this, and even for erstwhile users it sometimes requires digging a bit to find out the command that starts a particular app in the K-Menu. I guess a "right-click menu" mentioned above in (iii) with a "Run from a konsole session" (or a more user friendly "Run in debug mode") would be very nice to have.

</QUOTE>

Best regards,
Abdullah
