Vitual Desktop: Window Behaviour Question

I'm working with 12 virtual desktops. I would like to be able to place a certain application on only 3 virtual desktops as apposed to having it on All Desktops similar to CDE. At the moment I can only select an application to be either on only one desktop or all of them - whihc is not what I need. Any suggestions would be appreicated. Thanks in advance. :)
