How is Amarok 2 hoging phonon even when a song is not playing not a bug?

With Amarok 2 and KDE 4 I have ran into a problem with Amarok and sound that I never had before, amarok hogs the sound system, in the case of KDE 4 phonon is hogged, even if Amarok has been stopped and is no longer playing music. Thinking its a bug with Amarok 2, seeing as that is the only KDE 4 app that I have this problem with I submitted a bug report where I was told that its not a bug (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=170810 ). If this is not a bug then why does this only happen with I use Amarok 2 and how do I fix it?
