Moviemaker Project

Hi all,

I'm a newbie at this forum but I would like suggest a project
that develops a "Moviemaker"-like Video Editing System
for KDE4 as a project within the Google Summer of Codes.
I don't have any idea who could be a mentor for such a project.

Perhaps someone of you know somebody who could do this job.
For OOA and OOD I've got some initial ideas.

RE: Moviemaker Project

Hi Mock,

yes Kino is a video editing tool, but not as easy as Microsofts Moviemaker.
I only want to drag and drop video and audiofiles to a project without adjust complex values. Furthermore it have a great plugin API to create text scences etc.
It is really easy to create a complete video with multiple sound tracks and great effects. Moviemaker is the only reason why I start WinXP on my computer.

I would start developing such an application for KDE 4 but perhaps I need some help from KDE developers
