cannot build kdesupport: make -f Makefile.cvs fails

Hi!
Im trying to install KDE from SVN. I downloaded all the packages (including kdesupport and qt) and build qt, which worked really fine. Trying to follow the instructions from http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started/Build/KDE4_(de)#kdesupport
I realized that I don't have any cmakekde and also cmake kde does not work (understandably). It's also not posssible to do it as described in the INSTALL file (from the kdesupport directory) because there's no configure file in it that I could run. Then I reminded of the way it was done in the past... i need to invoke "make -f Makefile.cvs" (right?) but this brings up the following error:

This Makefile is only for the CVS repository
This will be deleted before making the distribution

It makes no difference if I run this as root or as another user (kde-devel) - always the same result.

I'm using Gentoo on a dual AMD Opteron (installed three days ago)

Any suggestions? What's going wrong here?
Excuse me for my bad english
