Hi
I'm a noobie (a Windows user for my sins!), but am loving PCLinuxOS especially with the 3D desktop enable.
Trouble is, I can't seem to find a way of configuring the 3D effects so that I can tailor them when I log on as a user, rather than root.
Ive got the 3D environment set up as root perfectly - the cube spins at the right speed, I've got the zoom levels set. I love it. But I cannot make any adjustments when I've logged in as a user. I get into the control centre (via root password), get into the beryl configuration utility and make some changes but they're not reflected in my user account (although they are when I log back in as root).
Strangely enough, some of the animations (i.e. when I minimize windows etc.) are happening even though I've turned them off as root. I'm very confused!!!
Can any of the Linux experts out there give me some idea of what's going on? Or should I just stick with using one account, root, so that I can have everything set as I want it??
Cheers for the advice
