I am very excited about the many improvements in KDE4--the result will be stunning and a major step forward.
Still, I looked at the demo for the "physics enabled" BumpTop and was blown away by the usefulness of that system. See

That appears to me to be the first true change in desktop usefulness I have seen in years that constitutes a new method of working with files on a day-to-day basis. It would make most file managers much more rarely used, since working files could be directly manipulated on the desktop.
I would be interested in the comments of the Forum members on this, as it may be something that could be integrated into KDE in whole or in part at some point in the future.
