KDE Freeze on Cygwin

Hello

Emerged KDE 3.5.5 on my Gentoo machine. It works swell, -locally that is. I'm connecting to the Gentoo machine using XDMCP. I'm starting the server on my PC w2K with "Xwin -ac -query 192.168.2.6". The kdm login appear and I can log in flawlessy with very good performance. Hower, after c:a one minute the X-session freezes intermittently one minute a time. then it wakes up for a second and then go to sleep again.

To troubleshoot I installed Fluxbox and it works perfectly well on Cygwin. So then I installed Gnome and gdm. Gnome works swell too. No freeze, just perfect out of the box.

So I unistalled all KDE packages and the reinstalled KDE (Yes, I'm normally a windows user) again. But no luck.

Then I installed Cygwin on another PC with W2K but the same there. (The newest stable) All windows managers works well except for KDE.

Now I have been googling around without finding anything that I think look similar enough so I must assume that I am doing something wrong.

I hope there are someone that can hint me. (Actually, also if there is someone that are using the KDE/Cygwin setup would be interesting to hear about)

KDE Freeze on Cygwin

I have the same problem and I'm using FreeBSD. Years ago it worked fine until one day I updated cygwin and since then it freezes. I can use twm, fluxbox and xfce with no problems with cygwin. Just today I started a KDE update to see if it will fix it.
