(KMail) option to mark messages with custom markings

A nice functionality I would like to use in KMail is the custom message-markings. Some of the others email clients I used (for example, Eudora) allowed me to create different markings (for example, create a green label for.. "University-related correspondence") for my messages. I find this very useful and the fact that KMail hasnt this possibility implemented sounds odd to me. Or maybe am I missing it?

woah its been something like 3-4 years since then. it kind of makes me wanna change mail client, i really need that marking functionality
