I've recently upgraded to KDE 3.2.2 using Apt-get. Before I upgraded whenever I installed or removed a program using APT it used to install or remove the program from the Application Menu. I.E. if I installed Mozilla, I'd be able to go to the menu > internet and there Mozilla would be. It no longer does that. Does anyone know of a way to fix that? Is it a setting I'm missing or something a little more complex.
For awhile it was putting everything in a Debian menu, but that menu has since disappeared. I have tried running Kappfinder, and I even downgraded to 3.1.something or other for Kappfinder and it couldn't the files I had installed through apt.
I have also tried running apt-get remove kde || apt-get clean || apt-get install kde and it still has the same problem.
When I had first upgraded to KDE 3.2.2 my original K Menu was lost and I had to put it back on the KDE panel, could that be part of the problem?
Also I'm running Mepis which is based off of Debian and the 2.6.5 kernel.
