Icon Zooming under RedHat 9.0

I am running RH9.0 with kdebase 3.1-13. I cannot get icon zooming to work even though the icon zooming function is activated on the control center.

Any suggestions?

I think RH must have disabled it so that it didn't act any different than the gnome panel as part of the 'unified desktop'. I finally just installed kde-redhat (http://kde-redhat.sf.net) and it fixed a lot of the RH/KDE problems.
