Get and install driver 'man sane-gt68xx'

I should install this driver for the Medion/Lifetec scanner 9385.
As a newbi I don't know where to get and where to save that driver, and how to proceed

I downloaded <sane-backends-1.0.13 tar.dz> and have it in my personal map.
But how to unpack it in the right place and install it?
