software eject for cd drive

Hello:
I just installed Mandrake 9.1, using kde 3.1, and I seem to have lost the ability to right click on my cd icon and eject it. Can anyone tell me how to get it back?
Thanks ever so much...

you gotta find the rpm/source or whatever of a simple application called 'eject'. thats what KDE is looking for by default to use.

http://rpms.mandrakeclub.com/rpms/eject.html is what a quick search on google found.

ah, sorry, I wasn't clear... my apologies. :oops: Eject is installed, what I'm having trouble with is what file do I edit (and what do I put in it) in order to put the eject command in the right click menu? Ideally, this would be a global menu, accessible to all users.
Thanks again,

/usr/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/

Is where konqueror right click menus are located.

Not sure, but i think you should edit
/usr/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/cdrom_mounted_konqy.desktop
and add cdrom_eject in Actions and then create below

[Desktop Action cdrom_eject]
Name=Eject
Exec=eject %u

Not sure because haven't tried it, but it must be something like that

I think that you are in the right ballpark, but I couldn't seem to get it to work... I did notice that each of the files found in /servicemenus contained but one Action each. I did try making it a seperate file, but got nothing there either. I think that at this point I have to beat a minor retreat, and just write a short shell script, and link to it from the desktop... I certainly ain't no guru lol! (I'll come back to this challenge at a later date, just 'cause...:twisted: )
Thanks for your help anyway TSDgeos (you too,Kal) , and have a happy Easter!
